National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Springfield will be honoring Orange Shirt Day on September 24th during our assembly and again on the 29th as there is no school on September 30th, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
We'll be recognizing the history and negative impacts of residential schools. Wearing an orange shirt shows your support for those that survived residential schools and the ones that did not. The color orange symbolizes the resilience and strength of the survivors of residential schools.
Orange Shirt Day raises awareness that Every Child Matters.
